Codename: "Western VN" - IN DEVELOPMENT

There is something about the genre Western that is so undeniably attractive. I mean, yeah its one of the older people movies - my dad loves John Wayne for example - but it still has that raw charm rarely found elsewhere.

I mean its got thats good: a rebellious anti-hero with a mysterious back-story, epic gunfights and duels, a lawless society with gangs and vigilantes, the expansive backdrops with open plains and desert landscapes and a time where men were men. So yeah, inspired by the depth of what some people consider a shallow genre, I decided to make a Western VN.

I've got the plot worked out - needs to be fleshed out though - and the characters (stereotypical for now, the depth is being developed with their back-stories) coming along nicely. The choices I am leaning towards are either you join the "Law" faction (help the (female) Sheriff), join the "Lawless" faction (join the Thorny Rose Gang, who, of course, has a female leader O.o) or you could join the "Neutral"  faction (helping the Brothel, and its rather attractive madam, out). Then the story culminates in a duel Tournament (If it aint broke, don't fix it!) where our main character, the mysterious stranger, has the final duel with his Rival.

Yeah...and that's my 2 cents on the project so far.

P.S.  the world needs more cattle-punk,

Current VNs undergoing development

Here is a list of my current VNs at the moment - Listed in order of the work currently being done to them. (too many with not enough consistent progress...woe befalls the fickle man indeed!)

+ Spy VN - In Progress (Story Plan in progress, Characters mostly done)
+ Western VN (FPS?) - In Vague Progress (Story Plan completed, imagemaps being tinkered with...)
+ Test Subject (Softesst) - On Permanent Stasis - this is my project which I am giving myself the next 5 years to work on...

Codename: "Spy VN" - IN DEVELOPMENT

The story goes along the lines of there are a group of spies trapped inside a isolated area and one by one, they are murdered. It is basically a very liberal adaptation of Agatha Christie's "And then there was none."

Well thats the very vague general premise, there is more detail - I want to flesh out the story before I can confiently give out more information...(sorry)

I have the vague story line based out, but I am wondering upon its implementation. Should I change the POV and hop around from character to character, or should I stick to one person - hmmmmm? The question whether it is linear or not also arises, could this actual be pulled of with the choice leading to the collection of clues, or will it have to be kept as a kinetic novel (don't really like the latter, but the former might be problematic in its implementation)?

We have a brief list of the characters here - these have been expanded on, but I am too lazy to type it up...
(and if there are any equally bored readers (or any readers at all), would you mind telling me in which order you want to see them die in... macabre question indeed!)
A - A loyal soldier, who is quick to be angered.
B - A fat, intelligent man with no sense of morals.
C - A trusting female doctor with a flair for the dramatic.
D - A cunning and pragmatic man of action with a nasty character.
E - A Lutheran Protestant priest with a solid belief system.
F - A simple woman in love with A.
G - A strong leader who values his subordinates highly and believes in sacrificing 1 to save 100.

Also I really should be doing some work on my course rather than wasting it here...
